Wrapping Up 2025
A year ago, I was working as a group therapist in an outpatient treatment setting. One evening, I took home an activity, to do myself, which I had given as homework to clients for years. I used the therapeutic exercise inventory my value system and came into an understanding of how unaligned my value system was with my living actions.
The last 12 months, I spent aligning my actions with my living. There is abundant healthfulness, joy, love, laughter, and excitement for me when I wake up each morning and remember my days are filled with natural, nature connection. Every dawn gives me the opportunity to live my best life fully present.
My alignment has been the biggest gift I’ve ever given and the biggest gift I’ve ever received. For those of you who walked me to this point, thank you. The best way I know to express my gratitude for your support is to enjoy the life I live.
As we wrap up 2025, I reflect on how simple my life has become. How still my living is. How loudly my laughter booms. My plan is to continue sharing simple healing wrapped up in mindful ceremony, ritual, and nurturing from the inside out. In the words of poet Andrea Gibson, “Commit to loving yourself completely. It's the most radical thing you will do in your lifetime.”
Now held by Delaware winds, sand, and sea, I step into my mornings with the sounds of neighborhood geese.
Stay tuned for more retreats on the way, and if you’d rather have something private than public, let’s co-create that experience for you. For those of you still holiday shopping, consider giving yourself or a loved one the gift of a retreat with me. It is a gift that will keep on giving for years afterwards. During these retreats, there will be a special focus on the food going into our bodies because food is medicine. I will continue to share the world I’ve created for myself with people who want the same experiences and nurturing in nature
May you feel warmth and comfort throughout your winter season. May everything that needs repair in your heart be met with love and safety. May you have all of what you need.
Wrapped up in a Great Love Story, Jess
